Man United fans are excited as “Adidas confirm Dybala has joined club” – but there’s a twist

All Manchester United fans are sharing a tweet which was allegedly posted by Adidas confirming that Paulo Dybala has joined the club.

But not everything is as it seems.

The tweet is in fact a fake, and has been doctored to spark transfer excitement among Red Devils fans hoping to sign a new striker this January.

One tweet, which is being shared online, reads: “New predator, New club, New challange [sic], Welcome Dybala to the theatre of Dreams #PREDATOR”.

Another reads: “New Predator, New club, New challenge, Welcome Dybala To the Theatre of Dreams.”

This comes after earlier this month Nike accidentally confirmed Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona before it actually happened.

An advertisement for the Barcelona shop proclaimed: “Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou. Get your 2017/18 FC Barcelona kit with the Magician’s name on it.”
